Maddie's got talent
A talent show that has no nasty judges, no faked drama, you be the judge and tell us if you think our performers deserve more than 15 minutes of fame. The first show includes performances from 15-year old operatic baritone Matthew Crane and comedian Bob Lucas giving his tribute to Billy Connolly. Presented by bubbly and gifted Madeleine Roberts.

Madeleine started performing professionally at the age of 15 after she was spotted singing at a talent competition. Madeleine was approached by a spotter from a local agency and became a backing singer in a local 5 piece live band touring the clubs of Yorkshire, when the group eventually split as they sometimes do Madeleine went on to form not one but 2 successful all girl groups which she featured in called The Checkmates and The Sunshine Sisters.

The Checkmates were an all girl 5 piece party group who toured the UK and Europe extensively before Madeleine disbanded to form The Sunshine Sisters.

The Sunshine Sisters had more success and back in 1999 sang live on BBC1s Vanessa show not once but 3 times after repeatedly winning their Star is born slot, from that they also went on to do radio and perform at the world famous Frontier club in Batley, now known as The Batley variety club where they were asked to support Shawaddywaddy for 3 nights. They also had a dance track written for them called Bad Boy but failed to get a recording contract which eventually led to Madeleine going solo.

Madeleine then went on to create the very successful Madeleine Roberts show and has been performing up and down the country for the last 8 years; Madeleine’s show has appeared on ITV, BBC and SKY.

Madeleine has also supported Viscount Oliver’s four tops and the chart topping Bachelors she hosted and performed at her hometowns summer festival for 3 years running and has been greatly successful as a working solo act.

Madeleine also writes from time to time and has recorded several songs but is at the moment concentrating on her career as a presenter.

Madeleine’s presenting experience started on Doncaster hospital Radio in 2007. Madeleine then joined Thorne and Moorends Community Radio, which she is still involved with before crossing over to Television where she co produced and presented Peoples court as shown on Legal TV sky 215 before joining Red in December to produce and present Maddies Got Talent.
